I waited when the Miyoo Flip V.1 was announced mainly due to I've learned from my numerous retro handheld purchases to wait, just in case revisions could happen. It's definitely happened to me before, so, I'm a bit more patient these days.
The revisions did take place and so I ordered the Miyoo Flip V.2 addition.
Packaging was quite safely done, and it was a nice presentation building that nostalgic feeling as I picked up my new handheld. The handheld feels quite nice, even before opening to reveal the screen & controls it has a premium feel to the shell. The hinges are quite loud when moving to the different positions, but also seemed very sturdy, so no worries here.
I really love the mini HDMI port and it works flawlessly. The D Pad has a very nice feel to it, not too clicky and not too soft. The shoulder buttons are very nice as well. Exceptionally quite!
The analog sticks have a very little cardinal snapping and are fantastic to use in racing games, like Ridge Racer, for example.
As always the operating system is intuitive and the game selection has been chosen well.
The sound is good, but not great, and the battery life is right where it should be, depending on the system being emulated a good 6-8 hours of gaming.
My only wish with the version 2 of the Miyoo Flip, and the only reason I've scored this console an 8/10 is the screen resolution. I would have given this device a 10/10 if it had a 720p resolution screen. Especially when 95% of system being developed today have moved past the 480p option.
Still, is it worth the money and is it fun to use? The answer to those two questions is an easily given, yes.

The selection of games are great but maybe too great I'd love to see you cut unnecessary consoles with a very small following. Reason being Space on the SD card, with only 3 gigabytes of space for saves Forces me to remove some consoles to make space. In addition some of the themes aren't optimized and the fonts collide or not even shown.

My charging dock does not work at all and the sd card I bought was buggy and required back and forth to get partially functional. They seemed to also have forgotten my order until I enquired after a week of no notice from them.

Had the pleasure of communicating with Zoey from Customer support to resolve my order. Sadly my first Flip that was sent was faulty, couldn't do much about it. They have gone out of their way to make sure my replacement was tested thoroughly before shipping! Their communication was on point and very supportive.

I am absolutely in love with the V2 Flip! The themes and UI are so nice to look at. I still need to go through and play a few games but can say everything is working in order and is super cute to carry around in a bag or pocket! Definitely my go to device to carry around due to size! The kirby themes are adorable but limited in terms of seeing text or device battery but cute either way! A must get!

The Miyoo Flip V2 is the perfect entry level compact handheld gaming device. The Surwish OS SD card is worth the price. It comes with a massive collection of retro games from NES, SNES, Sega Genesis, Atari, etc. With a good amount of N64, PSP, PS1 games. The mini HDMI port is a game changer! Love that I'm able to connect the device to a TV. This is the Perfect plug and play for beginners looking to play their favorite old school retro games.
